Training Workshop on Budgetary Gorvernance

The training workshop on budgetary governance is part of the implementation of the action entitled "Strengthening Budgetary Governance for the Provision of Sustainable Basic Services While Respecting the Preservation of the Environment". This action is supported by the consortium composed of Africa Development Interchange Network (ADIN), Afroleadership, African Regional Center for Endogenous and Community Development (CRADEC), Dynamique Mondiale des Jeunes (DMJ) and Transparency International - Cameroon (TI-Cameroon). It is funded by the Delegation of the European Union in Cameroon, within the framework of Cameroon-European Union cooperation.

The aim of this training workshop is to give participants an opportunity to learn and exchange experiences on issues aligned with budgetary governance in relation to the themes of the action.

More specifically, it is about:

(i) Presenting, explaining and developing the different themes of the action, namely: Illicit Financial Flows (IFF) in the context of implementation of the SDGs in Cameroon as limits in the mobilization of domestic resources for the action; the opening up of data in public procurement as a factor in promoting transparency for an efficient execution of the public investment budget for the supply of basic needs; and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) linked to the vision of the United Nations 2030 agenda and the 2035 vision of Cameroon;

(ii) Identifying together the points of operational collaboration for the achievement of the objectives and the changes sought in the implementation of the action;

(iii) Engaging participants in the exploitation of training outcomes in the context of the implementation of the SDGs within Decentralized Territorial Communities.
